I had the same problem. Your O2 sensor is probebly broken if its what im thinking of...( it is hanging, the piece that goes into the manifold wont connect, etc) you have to replace it and without taking any pieces off above it will make it a little difficult to reach, i got the piece in the manifold out with a regular socket from underneath the car and the other piece clips off from infront of the block and to get it in i did it from under the hood with a few extensions and a special socket that allows you to screw in things with wires connected to them if you pull it off this way becareful screwing it in because you dont want to break it again , they are somewhat fragile. Hope i was of help

yeah. Thats the same problem. I already bought a new one and hooked it up. I can only get it in finger tight tho. I can't find a way to get a wrench on there. And do u know why my car would be idling at like 2500 - 3000 rpms. It goes up and down and doesn't seem to want to go back down.

THAT IS CALLED "HUNTING" YOUR CAR DOSE NOT KNOW WHERE TO IDLE......THE ONLY REASON THAT I KNOW THAT IS BECAUSE IM HAVING CARBURERATER NIGHTMARES RIGHT NOW....IVE ALMOST GOT MY PROBLEMS BANGED OUT..BUT YOU MIGHT WANT TO START CHECKING THE VACUUM LINES.....BUT FIRST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR TPS(THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR) HOOKED UP....IT SHOULD BE UP ON THE FRONT LEFT SIDE OF YOUR INTAKE.BUT THATS WHERE ID START WITH THAT..........A 2500-3000 IDLE IS 1500 RPMS HIGH..AND THATS ON THE LOW SIDE..

I would also try using some fuel injection cleaner as well, have you replaced anything else on it recently because the o2 sensor breaking like that isnt that much of a "good" sign. If not i would recommend the usual full tune up, Cap/rotor, fuel filter, plugs/wires, etc... and these cars have a tendency to idle high when cold or like the previous reply a tps problem. Your car could also be "hunting" for fuel because its dirty or clogged which is why i recomend the fuel injection cleaner, if it was that it would idle higher to obtain the fuel needed to stay running, i would look into that because that is a rather high idle.
