305 or 307 ???????
ok i nead to no how i could find out if i have a 305 or 307 in my 1985 digital berlinetta camaro how do i go about doing that ???????????

How much you wanna bet it's a 305? Maybe a 350, but not a 307.
Look for the casting # behind the drivers head. It's nearly impossible to see, so good luck. Dig and scrub and you should see a 5.0 or a 5.7 on it. Also the casting number itself, which you can look up at mortec.com to confirm.

what makes you think its possibly a 307 if its not the original 305 ?
of all the engine sizes chevy made why do you pick 307 ?
its highly unlikely, but not impossible its most likely a 305 or 350, over anything else
why dont you give us numbers off the engine
if the balancer is really small and really skinny then its pretty possible its a 307 or 327
but if its really wide then its a 305 or 350

the cast number is
3931633 it was rebilted a wile back by a friend of mine and i am prttey sure it is a 307 because that is the moter i want it an the guy i bot it from has not lied to me yet y i wanted a 307 just because u never see them much and i like to be weard but if some 1 can find out for sure it is a 307 tell me thax

It's probably a 307, but that's a head casting number. You need the casting number from the block.

There is a reason why you don't see many 307's. They were produced using a very low nickel casting alloy that made them soft and reduced longevity.
