EGR solenoid replacement

I have an 350 TPI. I have a broken wire coming from the egr solenoid to the egr valve. I need to replace the egr solenoid and am wondering if I need to take the plenum off or can i seek the wire under it. Does anyone know how to take off the egr solenoid.

Re: EGR solenoid replacement

yes the actual EGR is under the plenum. The EGR solenoid i would buy from the dealer you need a specific one and after market never matched my car.

also the solenoid is being held down by one bolt. remove the hose lines to it and you should see it.

i did this on my 1986 305

hopefully they are similar in part locations

goodluck
