What size do you think my motor is??

Hey guys, The 85 camaro i recently bought is a monster. The guy I bought it from didnt really know much about the motor because he had it such a short time and didnt get the information off of the person he got it from. He belived it was a 383. The motor is a complete monster and has no problem smoking em or throwing you back in the seat. Here is what I found out about the motor since i've owned the car.

AFR heads (not sure of what CC but the valves are 2.080 1.600)
Victor jr intake
1.75 in primary long tube headers
750 holley
accell distributor
bowtie block 10051184 available in 4.000-4.155 bores
hydraulic comp cams cam
roller tip rockers

I plan on taking the motor out this spring so i can paint the engine bay so I was considering on tearing the motor down so i can measure the bores and see what crank/rod set up i have and to switch over to a mechanical roller cam but I was Just curious on what you guys think

Have you ever been in a fast car? To someone that has only been in 16+ second cars a 14 sec car seems like a beast. I dont see why someone would put those heads on a nearly stock motor tho. Dosent realy matter what size it is, take it to the track and see what it runs.

Nearly stock? No part of that thing is stock. It's built in an aftermarket racing block.

Re: What size do you think my motor is??

Yeah I will try my best to get some pics up of it soon. I have been if a few fast cars before but nothing this powerful. I've raced a few fox bodies with mods and hit 3/4 throttle and blew them away. A buddy of mine has a 95 trans am with a lt1 and he cant keep up with me so i know the car is quick. And nothing about the motor is stock....except maybe for the water pump which i do have an after market one for it on order. I'd like to get it to a drag strip here pretty soon. When I had 225 55 16's on it, it would do a rolling burnout at 40mph and I have 2.77's out back
----------
And when I say monster i dont mean something thats blown with 800hp, but for somthing thats driven on the street everyday. I should have chosen my words a little better

Not bad, you could probly get into the 12s with it. You need to try and find out what it has in it tho.

Those gears are killing you.

Re: What size do you think my motor is??

Do you think i should go with a lower set of gears?? Also the trans is a 4l60 built by select performance racing. The rear is the borg warner 9 bolt so i know gears are hard to find let alone probably expensive. Either a 9in or a 12 bolt is in the future. Being that this motor has a hydraulic flat tappet cam, how much more do you think i can get out of it if i switched over to a hydraulic roller or a mechanical roller??
