New Battery, now won't ilde right!? HELP!

Got a new battery for my 90 bird 3.1 V6, I know you need to drive it a bit so the comp gets used to the new battery, BUT its been 130 miles already and it idles fine in park//neutral. However when in gear at a stop light it will stall, just as im hitting the brakes the rpms will drop, tries to adjust itself, but will stall unless i keep my foot on the gas and brake at the same time. Before the new batt, it was fine.
-also put super unleaded gas in it w/octane booster to clean//wake it up. didnt do much in that dept so far. could that be the prob as well??
-other than the idle problem it runs smooth, volts are right, and temp it right.
-also checked the vac lines, appears to be ok.
ANY help would be appreciated!

This is common. It takes a while for the ECM to "re-learn" the engine. When the battery was disconnected the ECM lost it's changes it made over time to run the engine correctly. It learns a little at a time per key-on cycle. If you make one long run on one key cycle it only made and saved a small change. Give it a chance to re-learn the engine in stop and go driving. Turn it off for 30 seconds and restart it will speed up the process. The gas won't make a big difference unless you put in way too much booster.

thanks for the help, this happened before in this car when i disc the batt, but it didnt take this long. Ill give it some more time and do what you said.
-Seems ridiculas that it takes this long just because of a new batt. Although when i replaced the batt in my 4th gen ws6, everything went chaos for a day or so.
-this stalling just gets on my nerves something terrible!

Well, she is acting ok and normal again. Drove it, shut it off, started it up and so on. Took a while though, sheeeezzzz! Heaven forbid you disconnect your battery on these cars....
