ok I have a 92 rs with a 350 tbi that i put in. i have a new starter but no crank or click. anyone have an idea where i should start to find the problem? I do have power to starter and when i turn the key i have power at the purple wire on the s termenal. please help! is there something still unplugged that i forgot to hook up or is it the vats system?

 

If you have the negative cable bolted to the block and the positive cable to the stud on the solenoid, you better hear some noise out of the starter when voltage hits the S terminal. If not pull it off, it's worthless.

 

well I figured it out. it wasn't making any noise at all. the test light did come on on the s terminal when turned ignition over but it wasn't very bright. I did not have enogh voltage. I found the battery was low so I chaged it and I not only have nise but it cranks now. thanks
