convert 70 350 to roller cam?

I have a friend who's selling me his 350 rebuilt short block cheap. I would like to convert it over to a roller cam. I have a 91 305 roller cam motor that it is going to replace. Can I use the roller cam components for this? I realize that the spider that holds the lifters in place needs to be bolted down. So what are my options? Should I just put a hydraulic cam in and new lifters to save money?
