Yet another no start issue

I had posted a while back that I couldn't get my car started at all. It's a completely stock engine, I've replaced the distributor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, ignition countrol module, injectors, fuel filter, fuel pump. The fuses are good, just checked them tonight.

Long story short I had been waiting to do the brakes on it for a while. I haven't started it for like a month to 2 months given my brakes were horrible. I did the brakes today and went to start my car and it didn't want to start. Turns over fine but won't start. Disconnected the fuel lines going to the throttle body and tried to start it and no fuel came out whatsoever.

Now the problem last time I had this no start issue was the fuel pump and the rubber line inside of the tank. I replaced all of that last time, which was probably 3-4 months ago. I will be royally pissed if that's the issue again because I don't wanna keep on doing this every 3-4 months.

Any ideas why it would suddenly not start? It started fine a month or two ago, started up real quick too. Dunno what the problem is as everything involved with the fuel supply has been replaced within the past year.

Re: Yet another no start issue

no one wants to take a stab at this?

I disconnected the fuel line beforethe fuel filter and primed it and fuel sprayed everywhere. Did it after the fuel filter too and the same thing, so I know my fuel pump is working. But when I disconnect the fuel line right before the throttle body there is nothing :/

Could this be a fuel problem? Gas turn bad? I have a similar problem myself but my car had not been started for two years. It will start and run but will not continue running. I have changed out plugs, and fuel filter and get good pressure. Could gas go bad in 2 months?

Re: Yet another no start issue

I had already figured out my problem. It was the rubber hose in the fuel tank that connects the fuel pump to the steel line. Had swelled up twice the size and fell apart

Re: Yet another no start issue

Was it a pain putting in the new pump and taking down the tank?

Well I've taken my tank out 3 times already so I've gotten real good at it. It's not that hard as long as you give yourself enough room for it. The only hard part I see is wiggling the tank out once you have everything disconnected

Re: Yet another no start issue

Hey There! What kind of hose is it? Regular rubber like a vacuum hose or actual FUEL line? I would like to see if I can help you guys. I have some issues too but I will cover that later. For now go and check the FUEL PUMP RELAY. Can you hear the fuel pump prime up when key is turned to the on position before you crank? Try to give me some more info on what it does, OK

Re: Yet another no start issue

I just fixed a no start problem I was having by cleaning out my spark plugs and cranking the engine to blow out some of the excess fuel in the cylinders while the plugs were out. It would crank forever and seem to want catch but still wouldn't start. I also double checked my timing by setting the engine to Top Dead Center on the crank and align the distributor rotor to the #1 terminal. After that it cranked right up. At first I thought it was possible that I had water in the fuel but it looked good. What had let me to think to that was because the spark plugs were wet with fuel and I knew I had good spark. I made sure to clean out the plugs and I used a sewing needle to clean out whatever was down inside the plugs. If your plugs come out wet, then I would suggest trying that or just replace them with some cheap ones just to see if it will start.

Always start with the basics and then move on to the hard to diagnose stuff. I should have done that to begin with but didn't take my own advise sometimes. Try and post what you did to fix it so that others might find this thread helpful.
