Guide plate question

Hey Ya'll - I've got two sets of guide plates - flat and raised - to use on my
aluminum heads. Is there an advantage to one or the other or is it a
matter of personal preference ?

Re: Guide plate question

The raised style provide better control over pushrod placement. With OEM center bolt valve covers the bracing needs to be modified. As the rasied section of the plates interfere.
