Stock Bottem End Stories
Im familiar with the "how long till it grenades?" thread on most turbo and fbody forums. I am interested in what some of you or your friends are running with stock bottem end chevy, ford or dodge. 1/4, 1/8th and dyno numbers and setups

I've got about 400hp on a '79 2-bolt 350 shortblock with cast crank and pistons (though somewhat fresh) and stock steel rods. So far so good.

well you will notice that most of the Grenade threads are JY builds very very low buck type deals... it just doesnt make a whole lot of sense to build an engine to last and not buy aftermarket parts that are as cheap as they are...
think i payed 199 for a set of rods from scat for floating wristpins and arp wavelock hardware...
but i did reuse my crank mostly do to the fact that it was still good and nodular iron
