Hey guys so i have a 85 camaro 305 tpi it runs kinda rough it idles kinda low on cold start when it should be idling high to get the engine warmed up but does the complete opposite it idles faster and higher after being run for a while and often when i put it in reverse and back out and give it some gas it tries to stall out then hesitates and sometimes actually does stall out if any of u guys have any ideas wat it could be please let me know

 

check your IAC valve. (idle air control)

 

Well, I mean, my car gets all lumpy sounding on a cold-start then goes right back up to it's regular idle point. It seems like a normal issue, since cold-starts are hard on any engine. But your problem could be the IAC.

 

ya but isnt that part of the throttle body or near it? i mean ive had it in the shop like i said and the mechanic should have overlooked that if it is part of the throttle body cuz he cleaned it and checked things over and said everything seemed fine on top of that it only tries to stall in reverse?
