Still hitting brick wall in thirdgear...crackling/popping exhaust up top
Car still aint running right. it sounds bad and pops thru the exhaust...crackling too sometimes now. Other gears pull fine but not top of thirdgear. STill hitting that limiter at 4000rpms or so in thirdgear...car just stops pulling and starts crackling/poppin thru the exhaust.
I replaced fuel pump and it didnt fix it, so i added a new cap/rotor and hotter ignition coil from hypertech. that seemed to fix it for awhile. Last night the car ran as hard as it ever has.. was running good all week
Today i take it out and its doing it again.
I'm gonna replace the spark plugs to see if maybe i have a fouled plug or two.
Is this symptoms of a miss? Car just doesnt want to pull thru the rpms up topend and starts crackling/popping weird. sounds to me like its not getting ignition and it could be a miss?
Any thoughts??

Sounds like fuel delivery.
What's the A/F ratio when it's screwing up?

i just ohm'd my injectors.... atleast 2 are not ohming right at all...i think thats my problem. injectors are shot
I dont have a wideband, but when it was doing this problem, the blm's were at 128, but O2 milivolts i didnt get a chance to read. generally at WOT the milivolts read 914-919mv.

i thought bad injectors with poor resistance would give hard restarts and have rough idle and part throttle? my part throttle wasnt bad nor is my idle. and first-2nd gear runs strong till i hit third??

are you sure thats the case?
poor resistance usually means that the injectors arnet really firing, and youre more or less dropping cylinders
are the two injectors on opposite sides? maybe the motor is still balancing its self out so you dont notice it until higher speed.
but ya man youre dropping cylinders, when i had that my car still ran okay at low rpms was just getting an engine vibration at higher rpms

i do believe its on opposite cylinders. i think it was number 1 and number 2, but i forget..it could have been 1 and 4
but yes its on opposite sides basically
EDIT: well i checked them agian this time cold, and i found number 1 still reading bad ohm-wise. number 2 and 4 read ok in the cold but 4 is alittle bit lower but still in the somewhat normal range. this is why you check them HOT i guess
I got some 24 lb accels from a buddy that used them for a month. i'll pop them in to see what happens but i'm worried these injectors will fail cuz old accels have had problems

i forget what the number should be, its like 16.8 or something isnt it? i dont even remember but they all should read within .1 or .2 of each other, when i did it they were all almost dead on but one of them reap like 8.4 so it was pretty obvious one was dead, if a bunch of them are fluctuating below where they should be at all they definitly need to be changed
