dual gate 2 problems

i just installed everything with the shifter and it doesn't work. My shifter doesn't shift at all. all it does is slide back half way and stops. I can't even drive my car. My steering column also locks out and it's hard to get my key out. I don't know what is wrong. Is my shifter defective? I am getting really pissed off because I just spent some good money and it doesn't even work.
any suggestions?

Re: dual gate 2 problems

There was a second cable on your stock one, (hooked to the shifter button) it needs to be pulled I believe to release the lock on the key cylinder. Find a way to keep it pulled out, that will solve the key deal. As for the new shifter stopping, try adjusting it, place the shifter in it`s "N" position and then click the trans to it`s "N" position, them make the cable the right length.
