383 stroker what compression ratio for pump gas

im building a 383 stroker with 6" rods with this kit http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...155158473&rd=1
and i want to run on pump what would be the best compression ratio im going to be using edelebrock pro flo 3500 injection and im trying to decide on a trick flow head combo

As much as needed to eliminate detonation under load. There is no magic number based on a compression ratio since each engine is different.

Some engines can run 92 octane on 12:1, some engines can only do it at 10:1.

so would it be best to go for 10.2:1 or 9.6:1 for this it will be a daily driver i dont want to go higher than 93 octane but i dont want any chance of detonation

9.6:1 is better. the lower the compression usually makes it burn lower octane. best bet it to ask to company you got the kit from or the shop doing it for you.
