Intake gasket leak outside motor = antifreeze leak inside?

I had some work done on my car not to long ago at a local shop that involved R&R of the manifold and a new intake gasket being installed. I have noticed the front passanger side of the intake is leaking antifreeze. Does this mean there is a good chance the intake is leaking in the motor as well?

I have brought it back once and they cleaned it up and said it was not leaking, I just had the car running in the garage and could see the antifreeze starting to seep out around the gasket.

I tried to tighten the front intake bolt but noticed they managed to strip the torx head when they installed it

Very good chance of it. Tke it back and show them, maybe they will fix it for you.

I called them this afternoon, the guy in charge was on the phone, or so I was told. He was supposed to call me back but he never did. My wife will be calling them tomorrow, i'll be at work.

The car has developed a tick/knock/rattle but this may have been present before I had the work done. I had just bought the car so I am not sure but I don't remember hearing it before.

Look at your oil. If it's milky it may already be too late. Antifreeze will trash bearings quickly.

I did an oil change as soon as I bought the car. The oil was very clean before I had the work done, so clean you could hardly see it on the dip stick. Since the work being done the oil has turned quite dark. Its not black, almost a very dark brown. I don't want to drain the oil until after I can get it back into the shop.

sounds like the green got in.. do yourself a favor. take pics of the oil on the dipstick, where the antifreze is leaking and striped bolts... when you go in let em know how bad they screwed up. if nessasary use the lawer word. Also keep a close eye on the ninny that works on your car the next time.. most shops are worthless

So you'd rather tear apart your bearings than change the oil? Great!

Pull the dipstick, if it looks like a light colored chocolate milkshake, you lost.

Seepage outside does not guarantee seepage/leakage inside.

No milkshake on the dipstick does NOT guarantee no leakage on the inside.

Yes I types those last two statements correctly, have fun.

Umm, the car is parked so unless it somehow starts itself and destroys the bearings than I am pretty safe...

Edit: The reason I wanted to keep the oil in it was so the shop could see it instead of seeing nice clean oil that had 0 miles on it.
