Engine & Tranny Not Properly Connected
I was performing an oil change the other day and noticed the transmission and the engine were not completely joined together.
When i park there is a spotty line of oil right in the middle of the two.
Where can i get more bolts, what are they called and where from?
Is the black oil I see, more likely tranny fluid or engine oil?
All input appreciated...thanks!!!

im guessing that your real main seal is bad hence the oil seeping from between the tranny and engine.

You do understand, that i said there are bolts missing and they are connected fully...
I doubt its the rear main seal and more the lack of bolts or w/e between the engine and transmission....

Re: Engine & Tranny Not Properly Connected
but their is no fluid "exchanged" between the tranny and engine for their to be a leak if the werent "properly connected" unless the torque converter was pulled out and then the fluid would be red because it would be ATF. but then again if your torque converter was pulled out i dont think you would be driving anywhere. i mean yea i guess you could have some bolts missing but that would be the point of where it is leaking.

Re: Engine & Tranny Not Properly Connected
It's common for the rear of the intake to leak and run down over the seam making a real mess.
