my cars been put up since November and the other day i started it up and it started to smoke somewhere between firewall and engine on the passenger side it smells like celery and smoke comes out by the front tire on the same side also i cant find the source of the smoke any ideas what this is? and if it helps i just put a valve cover breather and new gasket on the valve cover on passenger side but the smoke seems to be coming from the bottom somewhere even if you don't know just throw me out some possibilities and ill check it out thanks in advance

 

Maybe a leaking coolant hose. Does it smell kind of sweet?

 

well last night i discoverd my heater core was busted and leaking at the fire wall maybe it dripped on the exhaust and its just burning it off but it smelled just like burnt celery with a hint of coolant its a weird smell and the exhaust theory would explain it comming from the passenger wheel well too, wouldnt it?

 

looks like you figured it out. When i originally bought my car it would leak from the rear main seal and hit the exhaust so the exhaust would burn up the oil and fill up the interior with smoke man am i glad this new engine doesn't do that any more. it was so damn emberassing to have anyone in my car and my eyes would burn after a while
