How many ci.?
I scored a 350 sbc that has been remanufactured by a pro. co. in Mo. W/roughly 10K mi on it. I couldn't get any info from the engine code being it is a crate engine from GM with the letters CE proceeding the #'s. I found two alum. tags siliconed to the side of the block when I rotated it to remove the oil pan (found 4 bolt mains). I did a web search and got the #'s for customer service and called them yesterday. Although they no longer remanf. gas engines they were very helpful with info on their remanf. process.
Turns out they over bore 30K, new pistons, oil pump, cam, lifters, valve guides, valve job, mill the heads if necess. and turn the crank with all new bearings. (how lucky can I get!) My question is cu. in. after 30K over bore?
I used to know, but that was a long time ago! Thanks in advance! Sqzbox
PS: I got the engine out of a 79 4x4 I bought at a farm auction for 400 bucks
and drove it home. The tranny was shot and had to drive it in 4/wheel drive to get it home and it ran real smooth on the way regardless. The owner confirmed the new engine install and the cleanliness after the pan removal pretty well confirmed that.
