sea foam?
sea foam?
I have a small amount of oil (Smoke) coming out of the exhaust. I was told to dump a can of the sea foam through a vacuum line and it would clean the manifold. Does this actually work, and should this help this car pass emissions?

Re: sea foam?
I've used Seafoam for about a year now, on just about every car in my family. I've used it both through the tank and by pooring it straight in the throttle body. I say that stuffs Awesome!!!! The only downside I noticed is on high mileage vehicles (such as 130k or higher depanding on how the car was takin care of) when you poor it in the throttle body or a vacuum line, the Seafoam likes to foul plugs with all the gunk it cleans out. so I suggest getting a new set of plugs for afterwards.
Re: sea foam?
i seafoamed my 91 celica, wiuht 209K on the clock, and it blew out all the crud in the engine, which was apparently plugging some oil leaks, which then leaked out, on the highway, at 5500rpms, i now need a new bottom end.
seafoam is good stuff, but make sure your motor is up to snuff and there are no underlying problems before you do it.
