somebody ID where this goes?? pics
Found this when I was checking spark plugs and wires. I heard the dreaded pop and saw a hose drop onto the driver side valve cover. I have looked for several days to try to see where this needs to get plugged in with no results. I took two pictures to show the hose in the first pic (vac hose I think) and i think its the cruise control it is hooked to(second pic).
I also had to rewire the 12v that goes into the transmission for lockup. After talking with Frank (Performabuilt) on yahoo, we came to the conclusion it had to be rewired. So I cut and crimp and go for a test drive. Well not even 2 blocks away I get up to 45mph and the car starts acting funny. The tach wont go above 2000 rpms without it jumping everywhere and stalling. Well I was like alright that was weird and I go to 55 to see if the converter will lockup this time. Car tries to cut off on me in the middle of traffic while the SES light comes on. I come back to my parents house and it stalls out right in front of the house. After letting it cool for a few minutes and using a towel(for heat protection) I check the wires. A spark plug wire had somehow gotten off the spark plug. I reconnect it and it still doesnt start. I wait 10 minutes and it starts up pull it into the garage and been trying to figure out what portion of the VSS it is or if it is the VSS. I have seen an article somewhere that a guy was going through a similar problem and replaced his ignition module and it fixed it. He had the same code 24 (vss). I am running short on cash and dont want to keep buying parts that wont fix the car.

yeah but that could be the HVAC lines
(if you removed the CA yuorself or prev. owner)
The car should start without it connected, It should run rough with that vacuum leak but it should start..
Does it turn over ? does it get fuel ? spark ?

ok there are two places that line goes on my car. when the line comes from the what ever that is it splits off a little ways down one line goes through to the fender and dissapears and the other follows the top of the fender and takes a left at the fire wall then goes under the plenum passes in front of the distributor and goes into the plenum. ill put a picture up in a sec.

ok here are three pics that i just took of mine. one shows the line going through to the inside of the fender but thats shouldnt be the one that goes too. the other two shows where it connects. it connects to the back left side of the upper intake. the peice it connects to on mine is the faded gray piece its the circular one that connects to a bigger hose then goes into the pelnum. i hope these help

Re: somebody ID where this goes?? pics
I have a Stealthram and its been a few years since I installed it...does that make a difference?
Re: somebody ID where this goes?? pics
what does it look like i have never seen one before. i would look on the intake to see if there are any free openings. that is what i would do because that is where mine went. so i would assume that is where it should go now. but i never been around a stealth ram before so i wouldnt know.
