installing shift kit into 700r
my transmission is stock and it drags into second gear. i'm not sure how many miles are on it, but i'm wanting to improve the way in shifts into second.
have any of you ever installed a shift kit into a 700r trans? if so how hard on a scale of 1-10.

Re: installing shift kit into 700r
If you take your time and follow the instructions it's not too bad, just have to be very very careful when you pull the valve body apart so that you don't drop any of the little bb's. I spread an old sheet under the car when I pulled mine apart so that if I did drop something I'd be able to find it. Mine was doing the same thing before I put my shift kit in. What was wrong with it was one of the springs in the accumulator assembly was broken. If you really don't want to go through putting a shift kit in, you might try dropping the pan and pulling the accumulator apart and looking at the spring. As I recall I don't believe you had to pull the valve body off to pull the accumulator off. Good luck
