what do you think of my combo?

I was wondering what you guys think of my combo and how it might do. I have a 355 freshened bottom end with speedpro flat top pistons for a 9:5:1, holley systemax II heads 185cc 2.02/1.6, rpm air gap, 276hr 224/230@.050 lsa110, 1.6 rr backed by a t56. I choose that cam thanks to the help of people here, because i wanted to go with a bigger cam that wasnt going to be very street friendly and as far as the heads i got them for a real good price. The rotating assembly is getting balanced and after i get that back i should start putting it back together. for your opinions and help.

Sounds like it's going to be a runner.

Back it up with proper transmission/stall/gears, it'll be a terror.

Re: what do you think of my combo?

Thanks for the input. As soon as i can i will post pics and videos. I might take leave just to finish it. What kind of numbers do you think i will put down? I ask this because i saw a article on superchevy where they had pretty much the exact same set up for the exception that they used a flat tappet cam and i am using a hr but the duration is the same and i am using a 110 lsa and they had i think it was a 112. They made 429 at the crank, but the machinist taht is balancing my assy said that i would be lucky to get 330 to the crank. Do you agree with what he said or is superchevy pretty close to what i will be running? thanks again.

I would go with the superchevy. With your set up ya well over 330.

Re: what do you think of my combo?

Very similar to my 357, just a hair less compression and cam... its very driveable, but oh-so-satisfying to hear the bbBBPPPPRRRRAAAAPPPPPPPPPP!!! when you put your foot down, and 'potato potato potato...' when its idling (say that to yourself out loud and you'll understand lol) Its a pretty nasty little mill, and sounds every bit of it, but was still tame enough to be a daily driver for a year - yours should be more or less the same

I'd guess 370 crank hp through mufflers.

Good luck!
