L98, perhaps?
Stock springs shouldn't be considered with any cam upgrade.
Hydraulic roller makes the most sense.

Re: Looking for L89 cam
keep it a roller since its a 89 roller block. rollers kick ****!
abit more expensive but worth it, especially since oil manufacturers are pulling alot of good lubricants like zinc that flat tappets need
rebuild the heads and have them setup for screw in studs and machined to handle up to .550-.575 lift and run a .500-.520 ish lift cam.
depending on your goals but something between the cc502 and cc503 would rock in that motor. I really like the 503 for a street/strip car. you can find low mileage cc503 cams on camaroz28 all day long for under 150 bucks. roller cams dont wear out so they are a good deal when you can find them. the 503 is a popular cam in the LT1 world and makes great power but streetable still. will love the rpm intake and 3000 stall.
the 503 is also known as the comp cams 276hr, but on a 112 lsa. 224/230 duration at .050" and features .503/.510 lift with 1.5 rockers. perfect for mild ported L98 heads that are machined to handle the lift
Get a set of Patriot Gold springs and they will fit in stock spring pockets i do believe. Else get the heads machined to handle wider springs and run the 986's that comp recommends for that cam. Or the 987's..987's are a better choice i think. If budget allows, get 918 beehives
