ok unsure exactly where to post this cause im unsure if its carb related or ignition related. well i took the 82 t/a out today ir ran fine all day drove prob 60 miles or so with no problem. only thing i ran into is if i let the car sit and idle for more than a couple minuites it would load up very bad and it would pop crackle snap lol and bog really bad untill i could get to a place to slowly open it up. well i was headed to town and had no problems and bam it poped and bogged and stoped in the middle of the road i got it started and got about another 1/8mile and it did it again and once i got it doing i got it to a local car wash to check it out since it was a lit area and it was dark out well i sat there for a hour or so checking it out adjusting shifter cable checking vaccume lines ect. well started it up and took it through town and stoped to se some friends and then left well got up the road maybe half a mile away and it backfired and bogged and shut off again this time it took me a hour of fighting with it to run. i messed with timming carb idle and i could get it to run for a lil bit then i put it in gear and it would shut off (very frustrating) well i let it sit for maybe 15-20mins then tried again fired it up reved it then put it in gear then hauled *** i got maybe 5miles up the road and pow backfire bog and shut off well i played that game all the way home id drive for maybe a mile or two it would cut off then i sit for a couple mins then haul *** and coast and repeat. anyway im sorry for the long post but the only thing i can think off is it just running to rich but it only is rich at wot. its driving me nuts. im going to buy new plugs and a jet kit tomarrow and see if it helps. anyone else got a better idea as to what my problem is?
