timing cover removal with a 1pc oil pan gasket?

timing cover is leaking. is this possible?

taking the cover off, and replacing it without jamming up my oil pan gasket.

Is it one of the aftermarket silicone 1-piece gaskets? Nothing to it then, just drop the oil pan, pull the timing cover off.

No problem then. The silicone won't be stuck to anything, and the steel core inside will keep its shape.
