oil pan ?

I have a pre 80's 350 I am putting in my 92RS.
I am looking at a Moroso pan ,Summit# MOR-20180 with matching pickup.
My ?. Is anyone running this pan with long tube headers? If so are any mods needed to anything or is it a good fit out the box?Or what pan are you running with your SBC and long tubes? This is a pre-80 block with drivers side dipstick.

thanks in advance mike

Re: oil pan ?

im running stock pan with my headman LT's.... theres no real need for the extra oil oil pan. stockers are just fine and from wat i see on mine even the aftermarket pans should clear. its the shorties and the ypipes that seem to have lil problems.

Re: oil pan ?

Well my stock pan went with the motor when I sold it and the pan on the motor I have now is plain ugly .So I am replacing it anyway .I am just wondering if anyone uses this pan or any other aftermarket pan(just to dress it up a bit)with longtubes.

thanks for the reply
Mike

p.s. pre 80 350, DS dipstick

If you want to believe Summit's "Application" information, it says, "Fits 1982-92 Camaro and Firebird."

Long tube headers shouldn't be a problem, since the pan doesn't kick out, and LT's don't go under the pan.

I can only say I don't recall hearing anyone mention running one on this Board.

Might not hurt to call Moroso directly. Love Summit to death, but I take everything they say with a grain of salt.
