Snapped clutch pedal linkage help!
Snapped clutch pedal linkage help!
Hey guys i was wondering if anyone has any advice, ill try to explain the problem as throughly as i can....
the linkage from the hydrolic push-rod to the clutch pedal seems to have broken. There is nothing wrong with the push-rod itself, but i found the plastic bushing that fastens the two together is snapped in half. The nub on the pedal also has a gash in the metal where the rod has been rubbing on it when pressed. I tried a replacement bushing but it snapped on the first press. I currently have it ghetto fixed with an different kind of clip(in the shape of a C i don't know what they are called) in the grove on the nub. What worries me is the metal on metal and widening the gash and possibly breaking it off altogether. I was just wondering what would be the easiest way to CORRECTLY fix this problem.i can't drive with the feeling that its going to pop off again every time i press the clutch.
any advice would be GREATLY appreciated

I'm not sure about easiest, but the best thing to do would be to get a new clutch master cylinder for a new rod, and new (or at least better used) clutch pedal for the pin.
