89 gta brake problem need help.
To make a long story short I am trying to change the rotors and pads on the back wheels. I started on the passanger side. put the pads and rotor on it was hard to fit on the caliper to rotor but i got it on. now i went to do the driver side and i do not have the room to put the pads on and get it on the rotor about a half inch to much i tryed compressing the piston back into its bore with my c clap but the piston will not move much..
what should i do. my dailydriver is down.

if you have the iron Delco calipers, the pistons are designed to be screwed back into the bores. if you have the aluminum PBR calipers, the pistons should be able to be pushed back in the bores, if not the pistons might be seized and in need of rebuild or replacement

That'll make it easier but you should be able to compress them with the bleeder closed.

An 89 should have PBR's. Make sure the new rotors are seated against the axle flange--the last set I had forced me to pound on them a bit with a rubber mallet.
