Im a yung guy and i have some friends who are into cars as much as i am, however some of them are very fortunate 4 of them have pretty much new cars with that new speed i have 92 25th anniversary camaro with a stock 350 my friends in our little crew have a 06 pontiac gt0 (ls2) ,an 07 nissan 350z, 01 dodge srt4 and a 06 chevy cobalt ss turbo and supercharged

You need to spend some time reading about the mods you can do, make some decisions about your budget and the ways to acheive your goals, and then revisit this topic. The cars you listed run from mid 14's right on down to low 13's, you need a 12.90 or faster car to beat the GTO consistently. Doing that on a TBI 350 would require some significant breathing mods (heads/cam/etc) or a lot of juice and some chassis mod's to plant the power.

 

I agree, your going to need a new exhaust including headers, cam, intake, heads, and you may touch 13.00 with 3.73 gears you might be able to beat the GTO. When I raced them, they always raced around the 12.95-13.10's

 

Do you know anything about the istory of the 350 in the car now like what it came out of or the heads or cam it has. that would go along way towards pointing you wer to start. if it a lo5 out of a caprice it's going to need head before it will ever be able to be competitive with those other cars. it depends on what you want under the hood if efi is your thing then a swap to a SD tpi ecm with a hsr or miniram and a good set of heads with a decent cam not one of those lt1/lt4 cams not bad cams but not what you will need.
is the car an auto or manaul tranny. if its an atou you'll need a higher stall converter if its a manual you may want to look into a t56 swap bc the t5 is considered weak for performance use.

 

Is the engine in your RS original? The RS came with 305 not 350's that's why I am asking.

THANKS GUYS YEA WELL THE CAR WAS MY UNCLES FATHERS and then his dad gave it to he and he was goin to give it so his son but he didnt want it so i took it off of him but yes you are are right it did come with a 305 originally but he swapped it out for a 350 not sure where it came from but i can ask

 

and yea i kinda figured those mods would be needed i just didnt know if id have to basically put alot of money in the motor when i could just buy a gto or 350z which i dont want to do but is there any specific setup u guys would recommend??
