does anybody know how to switch out a tbi manual trans and put a tpi setup
I've got an 88 camaro with a tbi setup manual transmission and I want to put this tpi setup that I got off an automatic, need help stting up the wiring harness and need to know if the ECM is I got with it is ok to use on a manual trans?

there should be no issues, except it would be easier if you got the TPI ECM and wiring harness
Actually i think you NEED the tpi ecm, the trans part shouldnt matter if i remember correctly, but dont quote me on it
do a search, alot of TBI to TPI swaps have just spliced the harness in various places to get it to work

well I do have a tpi ECM and wiring harness, but it's off an automatic will it. Matter

shouldnt, the only hook up that would be different would be for the trans but if you have the engine harness it wont matter as far as i know

the ecm for an auto worked fine in my car. It was a tpi 350 only thing I noticed that didnt work that worked on a 5sp car was the shift light that was on the dash other than that it all worked great.
