Now that i have your attention lol. I have a 90' rs with a tbi and a 700r4, and i want to swap to a 350tbi, i know a guy selling a early 90's 2500 chevy van for $100 and i'm wondering if it has a 4 or 2 bolt main block, will the computer in the van work in my car, and is it really worth all the effort?

if youre only shooting for 220 hp, it really wont matter if its a 2 or 4 bolt block. If youre under 400 hp a 2 bolt block should be sufficiant (or so Ive been told)
Its definitely worth it in the sense that you can take the motor out, scrap the van, and actually make money on it. As long as its a decent running motor without too many miles Id say go for it.

as far as the computer in the van goes, i really dont think you will need it. If your car now is tbi, it should in theory be a direct swap.

220 is a start, but i may want to go higher eventually, with a cylinder head swap to get rid of the stupid swirl port heads, van has somewhere around 140,000 km on it, where as my 305 has 290000 + so anything is an improvement :P, probably buy a prom from ebay, any feedback on possable proms?

I'd say go for it. Use the injectors from the 350. The van distributor has a built-in rev limiter from GM, while the Camaro one doesn't.

You can't go wrong on this one. As mentioned, the scrap value for the body alone would be more than $100, so you could make money on the deal. If you switch over the components from your current engine, I don't think the prom would be an issue, but I could be wrong. 2 bolt or 4 bolt doesn't make that big a difference unless you are building an all out motor.

Um its a fairly straight forward swap just leave the intake, the TBI and the knock sensor on the 350 and swap over the rest of the parts like the exh brackets and pullies from your 305 and drop her in. If the 350 doesent have a knock sensor thats about the only part you may need, some trucks dident use em and the 305 sensor is different. The ECM isnt really nessasary unless you wanted to get a 350 prom and slap it in your current ecm or just get a cheap one floating around the net but it is not needed. Swirl port heads are great with TBI engines wouldent worry about them. I have them on my engine and dont seem to have any problems running 14's at altitdue which is faster then LS1's with full aftermarket exh and air mods.....

Perhaps it's just me, but I've had some fitment issues with truck blocks in snug car crossmembers. I know they are supposed to be the same, but the last two truck 4-bolts I've built have gone into the car cradles with some misalignment of the clamshell mounts, causing both of them to sit too low. A little adjustment and sjhimming with 1/2" to 5/8" thick bolt collars has corrected it, but has anyone else encountered this? I've never measured the two hole patterns side-by-side to compare a truck 4-bolt to an engine pulled from a car.
It may have been the fact that I was fitting late-80s and early '90s 4-bolts into 1960s car cradles, but they are SUPPOSED to be the same - Right?
