I need to remove the ramps from under the front end of my Camaro. The intake manifold was removed therefore I cannot start the 305 to back down from them.
I have to make room for a newly acquired 2002 SS so I can roll my unfinished '88 IROC Z28 project out to the side for now.
Question is how do I safely remove the ramps by myself?
I thought about a solid block of wood under the oil pan and just below that piece of wood is my low profile 4 ton jack to lift the entire front end quickly to remove the ramps.
Any other lifting points would be appreciated.
Thanks In Advance!

Not wise. Better, put the jack under the frame crossmember that goes under the front half of the engine.

I would set it under the k member.
You could lift it just enough to get the tires off the top of the ramps, pull the ramps forward, set it down, get in it, and let it roll off.
Or you could lift the contorl arm one at a time and move the ramps forward to do so.
I would recommend not having anything real close behind if you do this.
Might be easiest to raise each contorl arm as you won't have to lift it real high. Your going to have to go pretty high to get the tires off the ramps when the tires droop with the supsension.

Just give it a push.

I put my car up on ramps all the time, but I have never driven it up the ramps. I don't want to mess with the starter blocks, etc. I use the nice subframe spot on each side.
So, I just jack up one side real high and slide the ramp under the tire. Let it down on the ramp then move to the other side. Repeat.
Just reverse the procedure to get back off the ramps.

Use the K-member and a good floor jack with a decent ammount of travel. The k-member is strong and is the recommended spot to jack. Doing one side at a time could make the car unstable and cause it to fall off the remaining ramp. It can also damage the subframe rails.

I have also hear horror stories about cracked windshields when jacking a car up too hight on one corner. I would use the K member personally.
