First off, TBI is not carburetor. So, this gets moved.

Second, the fuel supply line is 3/8". You can probably get a coil from NAPA, I've never tried. I know you can get it from summitracing.com.

You'll need proper fittings, NAPA can probably help with that.

From filter (under drivers seat?) up to TBI may be short enough that you can just buy a line with fittings already on it, and already flared. I think you'll need to change fittings at one or both sides however but the point is, you *might* be able to buy a straight piece of tubing at NAPA etc. They are in cardboard tubes right up by the tills.
Otherwise you need to buy a coil as mentioned. I don't like this, because you straighten out the tubing and you've got a... well, a once coiled piece of tubing that was hand-straightened, and it looks GOOFY.

Thank you. I feel so bad that I put this in the wrong spot. I thought it might be a universal question.

I am trying to bering the 83 back to life and noticed someone has bent the heck out of the metal line formt eh filter, which I just repalced, to the first of two Thottle Body Injectors. I dont think that part is sold so I thought about bending a new one.

Changed the plugs this weekend and have the scars to prove it.

I appreciate the replies.

oh, crossfire? Where is the fuel filter on that car then anyway? You can buy a line roughly up to 6' long in a straight section. If you need a longer length you'll need to buy a coiled length

No intent to lay a guilt trip on you, just letting you know. And, the Tech/General Engine forum is the place for universal questions.

Sonix, you didn't catch that this was a Crossfire car? The filter is back where they always put EFI filters.

I don't know if 6' will be enough, but you could always measure and find out. Or, splice two straight sections together.

Re: Where to buy metal fuel line? Size?

Well the filter is actually where a mechanical fuel pump would be located on a small block V8... up front on the side of the block on th epassenger side. Sounds like an easy location but it really isn't. The metal line from the tank along the frame ends about the wheel well and there is a rubber line from there to the filter. Bad idea as it can and does kink although there is a sleeve around it to keep this from happening. So the metal line from the filter to the first of the two TBI units is short.... say about 12-18" at the very most with all the bends.
Thanks.

I got a 25" spool from summit - also get flare tool, bender and fittings at the same time. SUM-G2538 - It is easy to work with and relatively inexpensive.
