Have you checked for vacuum leaks?

Carb/brake cleaner is the method most people talk about. Check the hoses too, make sure none are cracked, disconnected or missing. It was kind of dark, is it really going to 4500 rpm? My S10 did this once and it was going to about 4k, the timing was off and i had a vacuum leak the size of a nickel.

probably about 4200 rpm. . i'm gonna check all the vacuum lines again today. are there vacuum lines under the dash? if so, the i'm pulling the dash. i'm thinking of just going ahead and replacing as much vacuum lines as i can.

any recent changes? IAC too tight? pull the codes with scanner or paper clip.

Low voltage (high vacuum) at mass air flow sensor (or MAP sensor)-34
thats the only code i am throwing. the only thing i replaced was the IAC. Being too tight would be an issue?

i cranked the car this morning and let it idle, well, surge idle. then i started unplugging vacuum lines one at at time. unplugged the vac. line AT the map sensor and it ran fine. idle still a lil high, but a smoother idle. problem????

i'm gonna go ahead and replace the map. that lil ***** is$40. lol. since it is still
idling a lil high, now i am throwing code 22-Low voltage at throttle positon sensor OR,Fuel cutoff relay circuit open or shorted to ground. code 22 is only showing up when i unhook vacuum line at map sensor.
