Go take a picture overlooking the entire engine bay, standing from the nose of the car.

Edit. PS- I like the spark plug in the A.I.R. hose.

the hose on passenger side valve cover connects to stock air cleanr. you can just use a breather in place of hose.

cap your delayed vacuum (left) on front of carb and plug your distributors vacuum advance into the one on (right) also on front of carb.

Re: ok.... how do i hook this up to run..

what was the engine in the car origionally? was it FI or carb? is there a mechanical fuel pump on the block? passengerside front down low. Is the carb flooding causing it to die?

im not sure what was in it originaly probably a factory 305

not really sure whats in it now add on car said 350 owner of car said 305 father in law says 454 .... trust his judgment but he is not happy that i got another camaro ... wife has a 86 that her mother tboned still getting parts for that.......
here is a pic of the pass front low looks like a new part i figured it was a waterpump but then again i dont know much about motors.... have been studying up though i took the battery out when i first got it cleaned all the oxide off the connections put it back in and it did start up pretty good but i have to feather the gass pedle. started it up about a week ago when it was warmer out to see if it would run on its own and it didnt and since then have had a stron gass oder in my garage so that might be it didnt see any gass leaking but its hard to tell ice is still melting off the car
----------

Re: ok.... how do i hook this up to run..

OP, I too am love'n the spark plug in the hose. I've only seen that particular mod performed once before, and that was my Country Uncle Jamie. He's the originator of "duct tape can fix anything" As for the advice earlier about hooking the distributor to the proper side and place, thats about all I can tell you to help you ATM. However I will offer you a bit of advice, from my personal experience those "el cheapo" chrome valve covers will cause you more headache than they're worth. Once you get your engine running properly, do yourself a favor get a quality set of valve covers.

Maker doesn't matter as much as quality of product, do you know if your block is pre-86/post-86? There are entire dressup kits out that cost less than 200.00 thats valve covers, open air filter cover and base, and timing chain cover I believe. I personally like the black ones, and depending on which route I end up taking for my engine/tranny combo would get them in a heartbeat. They also have a natural finish, as well as what I've heard refered to as "industrial silver"

They are in My jegs book, I'll see if I can get you some part numbers if your interested.
