with the plugs out,you should be able to turn the crank
pulley by hand-if it doesn't engine may have spun
bearing,if it does turn by hand there is a starter motor
or wiring problem.

Re: HELP!!!! engine turns over hard and slow
Easy Easy now...... There are only three facts turning over the motor. The power (battery) power distrabution (starter) and resistance (compression). If you have 4 plugs out of the motor then Compression is out. First thing to check is Battery. Voltage check will do nothing for you, you need to check amps. There is no GOOD way to check the amps if you are a noob. Put a knowen good Battery in the Car and attempt to start. If this do nothing for you. Take the starter out and have it tested. Most Auto parts stores will do so at no charge. If you have a NEW battery and NEW starter...... Do it anyway. Youre starter NEEDS amps and from time to time you will get a NEW battery that is bad. I got one from Wallmart just 5 months ago. Last month a got a NEW starter from Schucks that took me a houre to put in just to find the NEW starter was bad......
