Spring Tune Up

I have a 1988 Trans Am GTA 5.7LTPI , and I'm planning my tune up parts so I'm ready to go come spring time. So this is what I am thinking. For plugs, I want to get some NGK Iridium LXs (link), black MSD Super conductor wires (link), Accel Cap and Rotor (link), and then i'm going to put Mobile 1 Full synthetic 5W-30 oil in it. I was also going to put Zmax in the fuel and oil systems. I always use premium gas in it too, so after I do this tune up, it should run super smooth. So, what do you guys think?

It's a matter of opinion. Mine is no, not even remotely worth it. Put your money where it will do some good like headers.

Re: Spring Tune Up

I agree, if the motor is pretty much stock - or even if it isn't you're not going to be gaining anything by running $6 spark plugs. Maybe .00000001 in the quarter mile via the lighter wallet. Run your standard .99 cent delcos or regular old Boschs and be off with it. If you need new plug wires, rotor, and cap, then what you are looking at will suffice.

Re: Spring Tune Up

you will be supprised if you change the diff fluid and pack the front wheel bearings

less rolling resistance= freed up hp

no one wants to flush the brake fluid but they cry when the calipers stick and wheel cly leak so just gravity bleed them out and presto less problems
