engine won't fire

So since taking out my 305 and installing a 350. Then trying to start it the other night and nothing.
Set the timing have all the wires hooked up the plugs have spark it turns over and is getting fuel but there is no running at all. Just turning over and over.

Any Ideas what this might be?
wrong plugs? wrong gaps? choke not working on carb. Any help would be awesome.

Re: engine won't fire

Well i dont know how u set the timing without the car running but if your positive that its set right and you have gas and you spark then the only other thing i can thing of is your AF ratio. Try pumping the peddal and also putting the pedal to the floor and holding it while u crank. If its af mixture one of the two will atleast cause the motor to fire. Maby not run but it should atleast try to start. Was this a running motor to begin with?

Re: engine won't fire

I figured it out. I guess this is what I get for trying to tackle something that I have no idea what I am doing. The timing marks aren't lined up on the timing gears. I'm a dumbass in the process of correcting that though should be running perfect by tonight.
