need to know if it will hold...

Im building a 383 stroker and should be putting out about 450-500 rwhp and wanted to know what rods (I or H Beam) and if a cast crank will hold up to that kind of hp.

Your getting pretty close to what a cast crank can handle, i believe eagle/scat rate their nodular iron cast stuff at 500fwhp. I would urge you to go for a forged crank, ohio crankshaft sells 5140 forged cranks for dirt cheap (they also sell premium 4340 if you can afford it). Ss far as rods go, decent I-beams will be fine, something like scats pro-comp series with 7/16 rod bolts.

i was referred to http://www.pawinc.com/ for rotating assemblies and parts...best prices i have been able to find anywhere...i read that scat can get 600+ out of their cranks...is that rwhp or crank hp
