anything's possible, with a lot of custom work.
At the very least you'll need custom motor/tranny mounts, driveshaft, wiring, probably not worth it

Re: Can I swap this in my Camaro?
Possible, but a lot of custom work to fab motor mounts, tranny mount (can't use the GM tranny anymore).....
The tranny will hafta have the correct drive line angle for the driveshaft, which in turn affects the pinion angle of the rear end (and the resulting custom mounts, either a torque arm or a 4-link).....
Don't forget, unless you swap in a Ford 9" rear end, your gonna need a custom driveshaft, to deal with a new resulting length AND mating a Ford u-joint on one end, then a GM u-joint on the other.
I can't think of any way it could possibly be worth the effort.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but even if he used a ford 9 inch, he'd still need a custum shaft for the new length because mustangs and camaros wouldn't be the same length between the rear end and the end of the trans tailshaft? This swap is totally not worth it, no matter how cheap or free that 302 is.

Re: Can I swap this in my Camaro?
sooo beyond the fab work you COULD use A tranny from a camaro, kinda
BW whored out the t5 to both GM and ford so as far as dimensions go the t5 would fit

Yes, but I think the input shaft has a different spline count... Hey, Andy! I think if he already has no friends or just likes being an outcast, go for it!
Reminds me of a guy at the car show I go to on friday nights: 95 Must@$# with a LS-2 in it. The mustang guys wont let him park with them and we wont let him park with us!! He has to park with the ricers and they just ignore him.... Sad.

yup different bellhousing and spline count, we get all out extra t5s from bondurant (dunno how to spell it) i.e the mustang graveyard the splines on the ford t5 are considerably larger and lower count lol

And that assuming a manual tranny, not an auto tranny.

Plus having people pee on, and egg your car. (The guy I was talking about has a Bowtie and "LS-1" sticker on his back window) I guess that enrages the mustang guys. It's just too much trouble for the beating you will take from the purists.
