Intake manifold won't fit
Ive been putting together a 350 tpi system and just got a set of procomp 3003a heads. when i went to install the tpi intake manifold it was about an inch to narrow. When i tried to line up the original manifold that came off this same block it was the same thing, so obviously the heads require a different size manifold but what? am i dealing with vortec style heads here, i have no idea what i need to be shopping for. also does any one know of any adapter plates?

if you order those heads through ebay, your fine cuz the guys inspect them b4 they sell them. if they have any casting flaws they get a new set. you wont receive a bad set.
anyway, for your question loustugots, i asked the company on ebay if they were a vortec style head, ill be receiving the answer soon...
ive read of a similar problem on here too... not sure wut the remedy was... ill do some searching and get back to you, in the meantime keep us posted if u find a fix let us know
actually,jv9999 had that covered, but to make it easier... here is wuts in that article
" The stock TPI intake would not seal to the head mating surface. The GM intake's flange is not straight across, it has a recess in the left front and the right rear, after the center bolts. This left a gap of about 1/4". Solution was a different intake ( I went with the Scoggins-Dickey Vortec TPI base)."
