Re: 355 TPI???
To answer the first question, no. To the second question, call local machine shops and ask them how much they would charge you to rebuild your engine, there is your answer. It would be extremely pointless unless the engine needs to be rebuilt. The only reason you bore a block is to clean up the cylinder walls, not to gain a few cubes.

No, it does increase the cubes to 355.
It just doesn't make any real difference in power.

Basicly if your looking for big HP go with a 383 just make sure you bring some $$.
If you want something basic and streetable go 350 and call it a day.

I used to have a T Bucket with a 355 in it and a 200Hp Nos kit on it. Fully street legal and capable a 9.6sec down the quarter mile. Engine was 450 hp at flywheel and car weighed 980kg with a full tank :-)

Re: 355 TPI???
Fantastic! What exactly does that have to do with the topic though? Basically a "355" is a .030 overbored, a "357" is .040 over, and a "360" is a .060 over 350, most people in the real world call these engines... 350's! The small overbores are done to clean the cylinders up during a rebuild, not for a massive (or even noticeable) power gain. As the above poster stated, a 350 can be a fast engine.. at least I think that's what he was going for.. the fact that it may have an overbore really has little to nothing to do with it. Most small blocks for that matter can be quite fast if built properly..

Re: 355 TPI???
Probably nothing but I wanted to put it out there as an option and the fact that 355's are quite common as an option when rebuilding.
