Gettin my baby up for spring.

so last year my car started running bad at a gas station. when i popped the hood i noticed the barometric pressure sensor was dangling on the header. twas melted. so i unplugged it and it ran better but not how it was. cant seem to find a diagram for the location it bolted to or where the vacuum hose is that attached to it. got another on the way looking for some help finding a diagram or maybe a few pictures from your cars if you have an 85 camaro with a quadrajet four barrel carb.

It's bolted to the cowl up by the AC/heater box. In the picture, if you look between the dipsticks, you can see the blue connector for the BPS.

There's no vacuum line on the barometric pressure sensor. It looks like a vacuum nipple, but it's supposed to have a foam "filter" over the nipple (mine has never had the foam on it since I've had the car).

Re: Gettin my baby up for spring.

isnt the barometric pressure sensor the same thing as the MAP sensor. shouldnt the map sensor have vaccum attached. it does on my L03 tbi 305, or is not supposed to have vaccum running to it.

They look like the same thing except for the foam filter on the BPS. But, your car should have both the BPS and MAP.
