NO SPARK! AFTER MOTOR SWAP??? HELP!!

I DID A SWAP ON A 91 FIREBIRD WITH A V6 TO A V8 HAD ALL THE PARTS FROM A DONOR CAR ,AND THAT WAS A 91 GTA SLP CAR....I CHANGED EVERYTHING ..THE HARNESS,ECM FUEL PUMP BRAKE LINES,ALL I THOUGHT I HAD TO DO YET WAS CHANGE THE FRONT SPRINGS,,SO I CHECKED ALL THE FLUIDS FRESH OIL CHANGE,FRESH PLUGS,MSD BILLET DISTRIBUTOR,SO TODAY WAS THE DAY IT WAS SUPPOSED TO TURN OVER... WELL IT DOES NOT HAVE ANY SPARK! I HAVE POWER GOING TO THE PINK WIRE THAT GOES TO THE COIL,I TRIED A NEW COIL THAT DID NOT WORK,NEW CAP ,,THAT DIDN'T WORK EITHER! NEW MODULE ,NO GO .
PULLED THE COIL WIRE OF THE DISTRIBUTOR TURN THE KEY AND NO SPARK..EVERYTHINGS SEEM TO WORK THE WAY THE DONOR CAR WORKED ACCEPT THE SPARK! AND THE DONOR CAR RAN WELL..THE ONLY THING I LEFT OUT IS THE OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT IT NOT HOOKED UP IT BROKE DURRING THE INSTALATION..COULD THAT SENSER BE PREVENTING THE CAR FROM HAVING NO SPARK? THE CAR HAS BEEN SITTING A COUPLE OF YEARS ALSO... THANK YOU IN ADVANCE TO THE MEMBERS THAT WILL HELP..

Actually yes the oil pressure switch will cause problems. Now i dont believe it has anything to do with the ignition end of things but it will cut power to the fuel pump.

Yeah maybe, Tonight when I get my buddies voltmeter back I'm going to start all over and check everything again. maybe I missed something. Mine could be the pickup coil, but since yours is the billet style that wouldn't be the case for you.

If you have an ignition box that could have gone out. I have heard people say that they had it go out within 2 weeks that they got it.

Alright well first lets look at the ignition system because reguardless it should have spark. Now you mention your useing the MSD set up im not familiar with it but does it use the 4 pin EST connector? or is it more a self contained vacuum advanced unit?

Hey at least one of us got ours to work. I used the voltmeter on mine and found everything was perfect. (measured in OHMS) so I am still confused
But that's cool that you got yours to work.
