This could very well be a transmission problem but I'm not for sure. Right around the 50 MPH mark my engine is hunting, and you can certainly feel it in the seat of your pants cruising down the highway. The RPMs are bouncing up and down slightly. I've only gotten it to happen in 4th gear, which is around 1500 rpm with the TCC locked. I PROM tune and I have my TCC set to lock up right at 50mph in 4th gear.
If I give it a little more gas and go up to 60, it goes away. Start to drift back down to 50-55 and it comes back. Jam the shifter into 3rd and it goes away.
Could I be looking at a slipping 4th gear? Or.....?

Just noticed it for the first time the day I made the post. Have been driving under similar circumstances for years so something must be going.
