No worky....
I am in the process of taking over my aunts florida kept 1987 Firebird.
Blue, Its kinda really sick..
It has been sitting for about 6 years now...
Drained gas (Filled tank), Changed plugs/Wires, New Battery, Cut out my faulty alarm.. (Ever been woken up by a firebird?)
And no worky... It cranks, and cranks, And cranks...
someone told me that it was the stock GM VATS Alarm. But i think he was full of it...
What arent i doing right?
Thanks, Schwinny.
(Pics to come, Its really a beautiful car, It just needs some love)

If it were VATS, it wouldn't crank at all. Check your fuel pressure, it's almost certainly 0. Shoot a little starting fluid in and see if it fires up that will verify that it is a fuel issue. If you have good fuel pressure, then the injectors are possibly stuck/fried.

With a car that sat for that long, I would definately check the fuel filter. Are you getting power to the ignition wire? You said you cut out the alarm, are you sure that everything is back exactly as it is supposed to? Too many times I've had to retrace my steps because I got too far ahead of myself and forgot something stupid.. haha.

Yeah, When i redid all the wiring in my brothers Ranger (lol) I messed up a couple times. Its best to take it slow, and just take your time.

Re: No worky....
I would of cranked her over while the filter was off to see if gas came out.... Mind you when Ive done this before I always had the hose ready and on >>> just in case
If you have no pressure at the rail try that to see if your pump is even working.... Has anyone mentioned your "fuel pump relay"? >>> good luck!

Re: No worky....
Cause i checked the number two fuse, to see if it was blown.
IT WASENT THERE.

I tried putting a new fuse in, but there wasent any contacts...
So i took off the fuse box, There wasent any contacts loose, Like there was never a "Cluster" to begin with...
Imma go nuts... This car pisses me off so bad.

If the guy putting in my alarm took out the fuel pump contacts. Where would of he put them?

I Stopped messin with alarms years ago! Did you try an "electronics thread".... Back on topic > Am I to assume then you disconected your fuel filter, cranked her for a few seconds and no gas came out? The pump relay on my car is mounted on the firewall right behind the master cylinder... may be in the same spot on your car.... It's only a $20.00 part that is easy to replace VS. rolling the dice, Dropping tank, $150.00(EST.) for the pump. Pump Relay saved my A$$ from having to drop the tank on mine when It would not run!!!! >>>> Good Luck
