Cam replacement and valve stem seals
Hey guys, I have an old LG4 305 that i plan on killing basically. (350's on a stand waitin for the 305 to breathe its last.) Engine has 86k on the clock.
I got a LT1 cam from a friend of mine for 30$, the cams got a good 50k on it.
I was wondering what is the easiest way to replace the cam in the 305, and what are the steps involved? Is this possible without pulling the motor?
Also, the old 305 smokes on startup (valve stem seals), how do i go about figuring out which seal is leaking. And how would I go about replacing it (or all of them) without taking the heads off, or the motor out of the car.
Thanks a lot guys!

Re: Cam replacement and valve stem seals
LT1 cam won't have a fuel pump lobe to drive the mechanical fuel pump, so if you want to install the LT1 cam, you'll have to find some form of electric fuel pump.
