ok so my valves have been lashed correctly i tried a distributor advance kit. i tryied timing it all over the place. so in the attached file you can here the noise my engine is making. im driving uphill going about 25mph and im not hitting the gas hard just moderate. any suggestions on why my engine is making this noise you can clearly hear. you can also see that the rpms dont go above 2k and stay around there. and you can tell when i ease off the gas and push the pedal back down.

Sounds like an exhaust leak in the audio file, but a cracked flex plate is pretty common and will drive you crazy.

well i checked for loose bolts on the header and i was able to turn 5 of them by hand. so i tightened them down and low and behold. no more noise. ever seen that commercial that states when your car is running well you can feel it. yeah i can feel it
