Smog pump and Heater delete
In order to get rid of the smog pump and replace it with a pulley what am I looking for because all I'm finding are A/C delete pulleys. I did find one smog delete pulley but it was for a serpentine setup which I don't have.
Also, my car's A/C setup is removed except for the chrome thing by the heater core. I also bypassed the heater core. I need more room to work on the engine. What do I need to do to remove the chrome thing and the big piece sticking out by the heater core?

What "chrome thing" are you talking about?

Re: Smog pump and Heater delete
I think the chrome piece is the aluminum tube AC piece going into blower box....I don't know exact part terms that well...but like the reciever/drier or evaporator....

That's correct.
I realize I could remove the pump and belt but I thought I read somewhere that it wasn't recomended.

Re: Smog pump and Heater delete
it should pretty much just unbolt....the hard line, same thing, loosen and remove....the AC is still not pressurized I'd hope....

You can remove the entire AC system by removing the top of HVAC box and the radiator, and lifting the entire system out (after unbolting the compressor from the engine, of course) in one piece without breaking any of the lines. The receiver/drier on the front of the HVAC box will come with it (it's aluminum, not chrome).
Removing the A.I.R. isn't recommended because it's required by Federal law.

Re: Smog pump and Heater delete
I understand it's required.
Is there a different heater box attached to the firewall for non A/C vehicles. I already took out the A/C. I just have that aluminum thing attachend and wasn't sure if it was fine to remove it and the big heater box attached to the firewall.

It's called an "AC delete" heater box. Uses a different fan than AC, but otherwise bolts to the firewall.
