Rocker adjustment on a 219 cam?
Got a 219 Cam/SuperRam setup. Got 1.5 roller tip rockers and the high tension LPE springs. Is their a suggested way to adjust with this set up other than what the stock GM shop manual says? Just curious, I have been trying to diagnose a Shakey, stumbly, low vacuum idle. Car runs great down the road. If your wondering, I've been through Fuel, ignition and vac leak checks as well as lots off new parts...

I have a similar set-up as you... Have you taken it down the track or anything?

Re: Rocker adjustment on a 219 cam?
Thanks for the help guys. I have not taken my car down the track yet. Only track we have close by is a 1/8 mile track which I don't really care to much about because everybody wants to know the 1/4 results. Still chasing gremlins anyway... Hey Orr, I checked out your twin turbo set up, all I have to say is WOW! that is unbelievable. Looks like a tuning nightmare to me though. I'd hate to pull up next to you at a red light, the turbo whistle alone would scare me off.

Re: Rocker adjustment on a 219 cam?
Another quick question, could some miss adjusted rockers cause a sumble/shakey idle? I installed brand new lifters etc. I never re-adjusted the rockers after driving the car/break in time. Is that suggested?

Re: Rocker adjustment on a 219 cam?
i have had rockers come loose before. Started to make noise but seemed to run ok. Readjusted them and everything was quiet again. But it does make sense if the rocker arms are loose and dont move the valve properly like the cam says, engine could run differently.
Theres been alot of testing on rocker arm/lifter preload and power output. Seems like less preload on the lifter helps make more power

Thanks for the advise, if you guys can think of anything else that would cause a shakey/stumbly idle outside of the obvious, let me know. I have done the following.
2 sets of new injectors
Checked FPR, fuel pressure etc.
Checked for vacuum leaks
Replaced distributor and reset timing
Tuned chip/emulator every which way
Replaced TPS and IAC and soldered in new connectors
New MAF sensor
And a bunch of other stuff I can't think of
